For over fifteen years, Santa Fe Tectonics has designed and built homes filled with light, color and creativity,
each as unique as the clients who inhabit them. Be it pueblo, contemporary, northern New Mexico, or territorial
style, we are committed to building homes with a sense of the landscape, local culture, and history. Having built
over sixty homes in the Santa Fe area, our company is known for its high degree of personalization, communication and service.
You supply the dream, Santa Fe Tectonics fulfills it.
Santa Fe Tectonics is an award-winning company that designs and builds only three to four homes a year to ensure
tremendous attention to detail. A reputation of mastery in passive solar design has been established and our company
enjoys working with all types of building materials. Although we primarily do our own design work, working with
architects is always a pleasure. Support and assistance is provided every step of the way in the building process.
Santa Fe Tectonics believes the building process should be inspiring, and by all means, fun.

According to Webster, Tectonics: “The science or art of combining the useful and artistic in building or construction.”
An expanded definition: “Tectonics: The concern of tectonics is threefold. First, the finite nature and
formal properties of construction materials, be those timber, brick, stone, steel, etc. Second, the way that elements
of construction are put together. Thirdly, the visual statics of form, that is the way by which the eye is satisfied
about the unity and balance. Tectonike stands as the highest fulfillment of all construction. Whenever we feel something
is lacking in a building, it is because it does not hang together. It is because we feel there is no sense of the necessary,
no sense of something that needs to be said and can only be said in that way. A tectonic experience, however, conveys
both a sense of the necessary and freedom.”
— Porphyrios, Demitri. Classical Architecture. McGraw-Hill, 1992.
Tectonics was chosen as the name of our company because it embodies our philosophy of building.
